Chaix

Rene Chaix's car was front engined and used a Simca (Fiat) engine. It was derived from Rene's 500cc sports car which had been successful in hill climbs but, as a single-seater, was too large and limited by a lack of power at only 30 hp.

Rene  managed a fifth at Bois de la Cambre, Brussels on 22nd May 1949, behind four British drivers but that is the only result we have.
