IER

I.E.R.

Ian Raby ran a standard Cooper for 1953 (possibly the Mk IV referred to in the advertisement) but for 1954 he built his Cooper based special, often referred to as "Puddle Jumper" a name Ian used for many of his cars. Ian appears to have only run the car for one year before reverting to a production Cooper once more.

Ian gets it wrong at Ibsley in May 1954

Crystal Palace 18th June 1954. A full wishbone at the rear might have helped the cornering.

Ian achieved some respectable if unspectacular results with his special including:

Brands Hatch 19th April 1954 Easter Monday, 2nd in Open Challenge heat.

Ibsley 8th May 1954, DNF.

Brands Hatch 4th July 1954, 4th in Open Challenge heat.

Brands Hatch 2nd August 1954 Daily Telegraph Meeting, 4th in International Challenge heat, DNF in final.

Brands Hatch 3rd October 1954, 4th in Open Challenge heat.

In 1955, the car appears in the hands of Trevor Shaddick

As advertised in Motor Sport in November 1954
