ZIG
The Zig 500 came from Luxembourg and first appeared in 1951. Essentially a Cooper Mk II copy with a flat twin BMW engine. Our thanks to Tony Taylor for supplying these pictures.

In action during the 1951 Luxembourg GP with Paul Ries at the wheel.

A number are believed to have been built but success would have been difficult by 1951 against the Cooper Mk V and Kieft CK 51, especially as the BMW engine did not have the power of the Manx Norton.

Three more recent shots from Luxembourg in May 1997. Guy Felts at the wheel. Photos courtesy of Tony Cotton.
