Donald Iszatt

Donald Iszatt

Donald Iszatt  is an all round sports enthusiast; championship boxer, chess player and keen cyclist and became one of the regulars, though almost always close to his Essex home. He started racing in 1954, in a Cooper Mk V before upgrading to a Mk IX and continued through to 1956. Rarely taking the major races he nevertheless produced some good performances and was regularly well placed with the occasional win. He ran a JAP engine, by then thoroughly outclassed by the Nortons, making any place in an open race, very respectable.
