Curborough 28th August 2015

Set in the heart of the country just a few miles north of Litchfield, this purpose-designed course holds all the ingredients for an interesting event. This meeting was to be one of the first to use the new figure of eight configuration that extends the length out to 1604 yards and introduces a couple of fast sweeping curves to form the crossover.

Perhaps because August is a peak holiday time there were only two 500's but this did not spoil the day. The first practice run was used as a sighter to gauge the nature of the bends, the bottom bend now being approached from both directions during the course of a run, and then there was the link to explore.

After lunch the timed runs got under way and both drivers improved with Jan's experience shinning through. Mike's ignition gremlin showed up on the final run when the magneto end of the HT lead fell off again!
