A good turn out of 17 cars joined the VSCC at Cadwell Park. Practice proved to be a bit of a lottery when a red flag caused a reassemly on the grid or in the pit lane with over heating engines. As a result, a number of cars found themselves stranded in the pit lane with no pushers.
For the race start, the marshals held the grid for an inordinate amount of time causing yet more over heating and the inevitable stalls James Culver took a comprehensive win and always looked in control. John Turner, after problems at the start, came storming though to second, setting a fastest lap of 1:59. Nick Leston was third in the ex Peter Wright Mk 8.
Marek Reichman posted the most spectacular DNF when a wheel of his Emeryson parted company at the Mountain. Fortunately damage was very light.
