| The re-scheduled from October 6 MAC Single Lap Sprint started off very cold but dry with the promise of some sunshine later! Three 500 O/A members took part, Humphrey Collis, Darrell Woods and Jan Nycz. After the freezing temperatures overnight preheating the Castrol R40 engine oil was essential, so Carol Woods’ camper stove and saucepan was put to good use for once according to Darrell!! With The roller starters placed strategically in the paddock and start area we were ready to go! The first practice laps took place with some low lying mist, but soon the sun came out for a warm autumn day.
