Brynfan Tyddyn Special

Brynfan Tyddyn Special

Sometime around 1956, Senator Theodore Newell-Wood decided to put a Manx Norton engine into his Effyh but, realising that there was insufficient space, he removed the entire rear and grafted on a late Cooper chassis. Into this, he slotted a rare Ray Petty Manx unit and some one off bodywork to create the Brynfan Tyddyn Special, named after the road races in Pennsylvania, which ran around the perimeter of Senator Newll-Wood's estate.
