Leston Special

Leston Special

The Leston Special was based on his J.B.S modified by Ray Martin to swing axle rear suspension for Les Leston. Les ran the car with distinctive white wall tyres and had a number of wins during 1952 and '53 before turning to Cooper for '54. Just to confuse things, Les' Cooper Mk V is also sometimes referred to as the Leston Special. When Les got a works Cooper drive for 1954, he may have sold the car to Clive Lones to become Tiger Kitten IV
