Slot

Slot/SWS

In 1948 Dane, Wagner Slot built a rather curious device which he entered in the September 500cc meeting at Sweden's Jägersro near Malmö. The car's shape resembled that of a barrel on wheels with the front end of the 'barrel' being higher than the rear one. The car had worm drive steering and this, coupled with the high rolling centre and the lacking experience of the driver, had devastating effects, as Slot rolled the car at Jägersro and was badly hurt.

Wagner Slot made the wise decision in that situation and luckily neither he, nor the car, was ever seen again.........

Our sincere thanks to Morten Alstrup, Anders Bonde and Vagn Nielsen for researching this car.
