Patrick came to hillclimbing later in life, but nevertheless always gave it his all, with his right foot flat to the floor whenever possible.
Patrick owned a number of 500’s including the JP and latterly the Smith, a car that he first saw competing in period at Brands Hatch.

Coffee/Tea on arrival from 10.00 with the AGM starting at 10.30am, followed by Buffet Lunch, with the meeting finishing around 4pm.
In the evening there will be a Black-Tie dinner.

Life is planning – doing – remembering.

Brian was a very close friend to our family. The friendship started as a common interest in motor sport but soon developed outside the racing circuits. He was a stalwart in 500 racing, a skilled mechanic and ever so helpful. The planning and doing with Brian has ended but memories of all the good days will stay in my heart. Hakan Sandberg

The weather gods were not kind to us with heavy rain for qualifying and both races. The Cameron dynasty took a number of podium places over the two races. Full results can be found on the events page. There is now just one race left to conclude the season with the foreign trip to the famous street circuit in Angouleme.

The club was informed by HP Tyres that Dunlop R5 204 compound tyres are no longer available. However, they have been replaced by Goodyear “Blue Streak” tyres which are identical in every respect to the Dunlop’s we are currently using, the only change being the name on the sidewall.

The 2026 techical regulations will therefore be amended as follows:

Section 15 Tyres:

15.1 Shall be Dunlop Racing of 204 compound or Goodyear Blue Streak as in the table below or older type tread patterns.

Motorsport UK are being advised of the amendment.
