Alan Cowley

Alan Cowley's first recorded result was a third in his heat at Brands Hatch, May 1953 in a Martin. Thereafter, he switched to Cooper and continued, possibly in the same car, through to 1958, with a brief period driving the Petty starting on Boxing Day 1955.

Perhaps not top draw, Alan achieved some very respectable results, mostly in an older car, even beating the great Don Parker on Boxing Day 1957.

Unfortunately, his career came to an unfortunate end after a collision at Brands Hatch with Don resulting in a reprimand for Parker and an indefinite ban for Cowley after he was deemed to have deliberately rammed his opponent.
