John Siddall

John Siddall

John was member of CAPA, prior to the war, and became secretary of the Bristol Aeroplane Motor Sports Club for the duration of hostilities. In August 1946, when the Club decided that it had done its job and transfer remaining assets to the new 500 Club, John became the first secretary. He played an instrumental role in the early years of the 500 Club, attending the "White Hart" meeting in May 1947, contributing to Iota magazine and promoting the Club.

At the end of 1947, it was decided by the members to move the 500 Club's headquarters from Bristol to London and John stepped down from the committee. He continued to be involved informally through '48 but then disappears from the scene.
