Please note: "Eigenbau" translates into English as "Special" Official results often refer to cars simply as Eigenbau, sometimes the name or initials of the entrant may be substituted or even the engine maker, just to confuse historians! Where we know of a car, we have adopted the English construct so Hans Luck's special becomes Luck Eigenbau. Early cars ran to the local 750cc Kleinstrennwagen formula prior to the adoption of 500cc and international Formula 3 in 1950 but we include these for completeness. A number of races during 1950 were for mixed classes.
