Pulse Jet Cooper

The famous Pulse Jet 1951 Cooper JAP 500 MkV, Norton gearbox, fresh engine, restored. Derek Annable raced this car for one season in 1951, beating the young Bernie Ecclestone at Brands in September. Next owner Jim Miekle fitted a Ford engine for the 1172 Formula, and soon converted it to run on the Pulse Jet, demonstrating it in 1957/58 at Goodwood, Reims, & extensively in NZ and Australia. Stored for years, in 1981 MkV/12/51 passed to Ian & Bev Garmey who rebuilt and raced it for 34 years. Restored by Garmey to original spec, with fresh engine by Dave Gifford. This most famous Cooper 500 should be eligible for the most prestigious events.
