Ortschitt Eigenbau

Josef Ortschitt's Eigenbau with BMW power which competed in the East German championship. It seems that Josef may have had good contacts in the West and obtained an RS specification engine He achieved some good results including third at Schwerin in August '53 and third at Dessau  in May '55. Joseph finished third in the 1955 East German Championship.

It seems that the car may have been driven by Siegfried Seifert in 1957

The car was probably modified to Formula Junior specification at the end of 1959 when 500 racing ceased in East Germany.
