Eric Fenning began his 500 career in a Cooper-JAP before switching to a Staride from 1953 to do a full season, competing mainly in the Junior races, he had a good and, at at times eventful, year, the highlight being the Coronation Trophy in May. Eric continued into '54, now in the seniors but could only manage the occasional podium. By 1956, Eric was handing over the reins to son John. In 1959, Eric sold his Staride to John Streets of California.
