Tom Bryant and Fred Corbin's car was built at the end of 1950 around a shallow space frame and Morgan sliding pillar independent suspension, at both ends. The single cam Norton engine was placed as far back as possible and to one side in the car, in a similar way to the Monaco. The chain drive went forward to a counter shaft and then back to both rear wheels. It was designed to have ground clearance of 3 inches but this had to be raised when the regulations were changed for 1951. Some known results:
Brands Hatch 14th October 1950, 3rd in open heat, 6th in junior championship Ibsley 19th April 1952, DNF Ibsley 18th April 1953, 8th in heat |
