The Urania 500 was built by Berardo Taraschi in Teramo, Southern Italy in 1949. He built a series of cars under the Urania name, mostly with 750cc engines favoured in Italy. The 500 featured a tubular frame with wishbone suspension front and rear and a mid mounted BMW engine.
Berardo also built the Giaur 500 in partnership with the Giannini brothers using Giannini engines. For more details, go to the Squadra Taraschi website, click here.
