David Brake Brands 360650 .jpeg (20154 bytes)David Brake from Reading raced a new Cooper Mk IV and achieved some creditable results including second in the Junior Final at Brands in September 1950, second in the Open Challenge Final in October and seventh in the Grand Prix race at Silverstone in July 1951.

Tragically, David became the first person to be killed in Formula 3 when his Cooper rolled at Boreham on the 11th August 1951.
