Donald Beauman

Donald Beauman

Donald ran a hotel in London and ran a Cooper in 1951 and '52 before moving on to Riley from friend, Mike Hawthorn and a Frazer Nash then going into Formula 2 with Connaught. Don shared a D-Type with Norman Dewis for the infamous 1955 Le Mans, they failed to finish after a spin and being struck by a Lotus. Tragically, Don was killed just a few weeks later when he crashed a Connaught during the Leinster Trophy race.
