Jack Pitcher started in 1957, at time when Jim Russell and Stuart Lewis-Evans were dominating, driving a Cooper-Norton and became a prolific and highly successful driver for the late period of 500cc Formula 3.In 1960, with the retirement of Don Parker, Jack utterly dominated winning pretty much every race he finished but could only finish second to Mike Ledbrook in 1961 at which point he retired.
