Lydden Hill 12th October Double header non championship races

Whilst competitors endured wet and sometimes windy conditions, the smiles on their faces said  it  all - A great day of competition with Chris Wilson taking the win in both races, followed by Karl Jones in second and Roy Hunt in third.
Notable performances from Andy Raynor and Chas Reynolds taking fourth place in race one and race two respectively. A special mention to Jean-Luc Reynard who not only had an enjoyable day racing, but really entered into the spirit of the 500 family on Friday evening, providing Champagne and a host of French food delicacies for us all to enjoy.
Tony Skelton made his first appearance with the club, driving the Martin that he has recently repurchased and restored to its former glory, having initially owned the car over 40 years ago, this great story will be covered in a future edition of "The 500"

The Friday evening food and bar was kindly supplied by Chris Wilson and this was a enjoyed by all those present and many thanks once again to Chris for putting on such a great spread.
